We are a non-profit, community-governed organization that provides our community with a combination of primary health care services, free community programs and community development initiatives. Our services and programs are culturally-relevant, holistic and available in English and French.
Chigamik is an Ojibwe word, meaning The People’s Place. The name reflects our commitment to provide a place where all members of the community are welcome and where services reflect the diversity of our community. Clients and community members have access to culturally-relevant, holistic programs and services within a respectful and inclusive environment. We offer services and programs that meet the needs of our English communities living in North Simcoe and our French and Indigenous communities (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) living in North Simcoe Muskoka.

CSC CHIGAMIK CHC would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabek Nation. We would also like to acknowledge the enduring presence of the Indigenous Peoples of this region, specifically, the Chippewa Tri – Council First Nations comprised of the Beausoleil First Nation, the Chippewas of Rama, and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. We also acknowledge the Moose Deer Point First Nation, the Wahta Mohawks, the Georgian Bay and Moon River Métis Councils in this region. It should be noted that the Wendat and the Haudenosaunee Nations have also walked on this territory over time.
