Board of Directors

2023-2024 CHIGAMIK Board of Directors

As a non-profit organization, Chigamik is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing the diverse communities throughout North Simcoe Muskoka. Our policy is to have equal representation of our local Indigenous populations, Francophone populations as well as Anglophone and Other populations. This structure ensures that Chigamik is representative of the communities it serves, is culturally relevant, and ultimately meets its mission.

Join Our Board of Directors

Serving on the Chigamik Community Health Centre’s Board of Directors is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about giving back to their community. Working together with our clients and our community to build equitable access to excellent healthcare and support services is at the heart of what we do. We collaborate with clients, partners and community members to understand local issues and deliver local solutions to address the health and social needs of our community, especially those living with vulnerabilities.

We are actively recruiting dynamic leaders to join our Board of Directors. Chigamik is an inclusive organization, and we invite everyone interested to apply. To learn more about the opportunity, please see the Board of Directors posting below.

2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Chigamik’s 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3:30 p.m. at the Community Health Hub located at 287 Bayshore Drive in Midland. To register your attendance, please email AGM@chigamik.ca.

Land Acknowledgement

CSC CHIGAMIK CHC would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabek Nation. We would also like to acknowledge the enduring presence of the Indigenous Peoples of this region, specifically, the Chippewa  Tri – Council First Nations comprised of the Beausoleil First Nation, the Chippewas of Rama, and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. We also acknowledge the Moose Deer Point First Nation, the Wahta Mohawks, the Georgian Bay and Moon River Métis Councils in this region. It should be noted that the Wendat and the Haudenosaunee Nations have also walked on this territory over time.
