Chigamik’s Telemedicine service conveniently connects clients and providers to a specialist or other healthcare professionals virtually, reducing the need to travel to receive care.
Telemedicine services currently include, but are not limited to:
- Mental health
- Psychiatry
- Dermatology
- Cardiology
- Endocrinology
- Pre and post-operative assessments for surgery and fertility consults
Our Telemedicine service is open to anyone in the North Simcoe community. You do not need to be a registered client of Chigamik to access this free service. In order to utilize Telemedicine, the specialist you are seeing needs to be registered with the Telemedicine network and you will require a physician or nurse practitioner referral.
You do not need to make an appointment for Telemedicine since the referral to a specialist comes directly from your primary care provider to the Telemedicine Coordinator, who then schedules your appointment.
