Midland, Ontario – July 9, 2024 – Centre de santé communautaire CHIGAMIK Community Health Centre (CHIGAMIK) is excited to announce the launch of its comprehensive five-year strategic plan for 2024-2029. This initiative aims to address the evolving healthcare needs of the North Simcoe community, ensuring equitable, culturally safe, and people-centred care.
In the fall of 2023, CHIGAMIK embarked on developing this strategic plan, recognizing the complex challenges and opportunities in the regional healthcare system. This plan is the result of a highly inclusive process, engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including CHIGAMIK clients, community members, the Board of Directors, senior leadership, staff, key partners, and system leaders.
“Our strategic plan is a reflection of our deep commitment to our community and our dedication to providing innovative and responsive healthcare solutions,” said Suzanne Marchand, Executive Director of CSC CHIGAMIK CHC. “We are excited about the future and confident that this plan will enable us to better meet the needs of those we serve.”
The strategic plan prioritizes leading excellence in delivering equitable, culturally safe, and people-centered care. It aims to foster a supportive environment for the team, enhance partnerships to increase collective capacity, and address the emerging needs of the community. The plan underscores the importance of providing timely and comprehensive care, improving culturally safe services, embracing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations, and utilizing digital tools to enhance access to care.
